The location is convenient, the restaurant is almost never packed, and the food is fast and consistent. My boyfriend and I have been to Ginza twice and had a nice time with no complaints. He orders hibachi chicken since he's not much of a sushi eater, and he always leaves the restaurant with a full, happy belly. I order gyoza and a couple of rolls and have liked everything I've tried so far. The downside to this restaurant is luckily not with the food - but should you need to be the bathroom, beware. It's pretty gross. Just something to keep in mind!

Nothing impressive about this place other than the nice staff & clean environment. I hesitated ordering the buffet because of the price ($15) but decided to because the lunch entrees were a bit much & for $2 more I could have sushi. Well let's start there...I arrived around 12:30 & I would almost swear the sushi was leftover. While the tuna & salmon looked & smelled ok... the tuna & salmon in the rolls were dark in color (kinda scary) & not pretty at all. The buffet items were exremely limited & had the appearance of being old. The cucumbers in the cucumber salad had no crunch what so ever & a earthy smell. Thank goodness for the hibachi veggies, lettuce & ok salad dressing (otherwise it would have been a total loss). I feel fine today (didn't get sick at all) but I will not return (bummer due to its location & my tweens love for sushi). oh!! & the fact I had to leave my raw veggie plate (to be cooked) at the end of the bar & walk off was really uncomfortable in a place with other customers standing near (praying no one sneezed).

This is by far the best sushi joint I've found in Tampa. They have unique fresh rolls and prices are fair for all that you get. We ordered a few different rolls and each one had its own delicious twist to it. I tried the Korean raspberry wine and automatically fell in love with it the first sip I took. It went down smooth and had a very rich flavor to it. I'm a big sushi fanatic and highly recommend this place! I promise they won't disappoint.

Ginza is a very good Japanese restaurant that features excellent fresh sushi and a wonderful lunch buffet. Hibachi items are available for lunch or dinner, but there is no cooking at the table. The soups and other dishes are really excellent and the service is outstanding.

The restaurant was inconsistent at best. I went for the lunch buffet. The food was actually pretty good. The food was tasty and fish was fresh. The sashimi was actually normal thickness. There were also a hot food selection. The problem was there isn't that many people that go for lunch so the food wasn't too fresh. Another problem is with how they served the sushi. They had four tongs for around 12 types of sushi. About half of them had sauce on them(spicy mayo , etc.) So all the tongs had sauce on them. When I grab a non sauce sushi, it got contaminated with the tongs. The selection was small. They only had the basics. They didn't have any mackerel or yellowtail. they should do made to order. The service was very warm and welcoming. They were very attentive. The atmosphere was very average. It needs some renovating in my perspective. The restaurant had very cheap laminate that was bubbling. The bathroom was clean but the decor and appearance seem dirty. The people that go there are just low. Some lady asked me about whether some dish was included in the buffet and then asked if I spoke English after I ignored her question. Apparently she assumed I worked at the restaurant despite the fact I was not in uniform and had a plate of food. They then exclaimed how "cosmopolitan" they are for using chopsticks. I guess that is just Land O' Lakes. Overall conclusion. Food is good but need improvement. I think it is a overpriced. $15 is pretty expensive for a weekday lunch buffet. If you live in the area, I would suggest trying it out. I imagine ordering a-la-carte would be decent. I would only suggest the lunch buffet if you are not too familiar with sushi or are a budget. I would recommend Kozi over this place for sushi buffet.

It was "okay" food, I have had much better sushi. I didn't think it was worth the money spent and I won't go back here. Service was friendly, but they seem to forget about you (even for a slow night).

Just found out about this place! To be honest it looks closed from the outside but I'm so glad I went in! The sushi is so unique and amazing, as well as the hibachi. Very quick and friendly service, I will definitely be returning.

All we ordered was sushi and it was fantastic. I've been all over the world literally and ordered sushi and it was right up there with some high dollar places ive been to. I actually thought of blue ribbon in NYC as I was eating it. It was fresh and perfectly prepared. Also, the beer was COLD! This was our first time but we will definitely go back again and hope for the same food and service.

Sushi buffet was good. Food was good. The build-it-yourself-stir-fry part was my favorite- awesome! Would go back next time I'm in town!

We went for the lunch buffet, it was nice that we were able to try everything. My husband and I spent 35 for 2 buffets and 2 sodas. We came with our 3 year old who only ate rice and tempura vegetables and they did not charge us for him, I thought that was very nice. I'm not sure if it was as yummy as our regular sushi place but it was cheap and the atmosphere was nice. I don't recommend bringing children, the first thing I noticed about this place is there is no where to change them in the rest rooms.

Sushi and fried rice is fantastic. Service was good too. Definitely recommended if you are in wesley chapel or land o lakes.

Failed a Health Department surprise inspection and was temporarily shut down: wfla.com/2015/07/31/rode… which is odd as any place that advertises itself as Japanese should hold itself to extremely high standards.

I went for lunch and had the sushi buffet. It was good, but I truly didn't feel it was worth the cost of an almost $20 lunch (including tip). There were sushi items, cold salad items, a little veggie tempura, soup, etc. No desserts. They were making the sushi fresh, but since it's a buffet, "you get what you get and you don't get upset". It looked like there was one waitress and she was very nice.

I go to Ginza 2-3 times a month. Although I am not TOO regular they remember me. The service is FANTASTIC. Very friendly people. Even the sushi chef will acknowledge you as you walk in from behind his counter. I have never had to wait long for food. If you are a walk-in Togo they will ask if you are going to wait or come back, I always wait. I kid you not I receive my Togo orders within 10 minutes. Incredible! I just waited less than five for my two rolls and edamame! The menu has a large selection of quality sushi that you will never regret ordering. If you have not tried out this quaint-unique-authentic sushi spot you must!

Ginza offers a nice Asian spread, sushi and Korean dishes. Lunch buffet is a great way to sample both.

Although a little pricey, definitely some of the best sushi in the area. It was the first place I tried sushi and since falling in love with it I've been to other places which were also good but not so much as here, so I always find myself coming back to this place for the quality and quantity. The staff is always very friendly and ready to answer any questions you have.

I visit this restaurant at least once a month. The staff is always friendly and welcoming and the food is always top-notch. Yes, it can be a little pricey compared to other restaurants in the area, but when you compare the style and quality of the food, Ginza is a worthwhile little gem. Their sushi menu offers some creative specialty rolls, some of which change seasonally. The gomoku udon is fantastic and on par with what I have had in Tokyo. A small selection of Korean items is also available along with the wide array of Japanese fare, all of which have proven just as tasty as the standard items. Ginza does a pretty decent job of takeout as well. So, if you don't have 60-90 minutes for your meal, most of their items seem to travel well.

I have been to some of the best sushi restaurants in and out of the country and I've got to say - Incredibly Amazing is the best way to describe Ginza. The food is always fresh and delicious, largest sushi rolls in town, and the best Hibachi grilled shrimp and chicken. Talk about a hidden Gem!! .... Don't forget to try the pomegranate wine.

the sushi was good. Very limited buffet. only two stars because of the price of the buffet, $15. been to all you can eat sushi buffets with a much better spread for cheaper. I have been in for dinner one other time and received two rolls for over 30 bucks. Not priced right for the area, rather go to crazy buffet any day or Grille 54 for rolls

Didn't realize this place had a sushi buffet during the week. Had lunch there on Thursday and left full and satisfied. The sushi was fresh and there was a decent amount of variety to choose from. This restaurant serves more than the traditional Japanese fare. They also have a mongolian style barbecue with chicken, pork, or shrimp. Additionally, they have a limited selection of Korean food with some of the well known side dishes like kimchi and other pickled vegetables. The ambiance and decor was pleasant and not over the top. There were plenty of tables and booths to accommodate a decent crowd. Having only eaten here at lunch, I had a strong impression that this restaurant had a good local following. I was impressed that the waitress remembered some of the "regular" customers by name and drink preference. Overall, this place wasn't bad at all. The buffet can set you back $15 per person, so make sure you come hungry.

This place is ok but very expensive 15 dollars for the lunch buffet which would have maybe been fine except I am a vegetarian so I don't know what I was expecting. I guess it would be better if you could suggest rolls or something but you have to just take what is there.

Food was just okay. At 12:30 when we came in for the lunch buffet, the hot food was barely warm and slightly congealed. They charged us $8 for kids tempura shrimp, then $2 extra for rice. (they gave my 3 year old miso soup...) There were only 2 shrimp in the kids $8 meal. The sushi was allright, but not worth the price. It was grocery store sushi at beat. For 2 buffets and 1 kids meal (no drinks, just water), it cost $40 before tax and tip. Service was okay.
